Harvey Kenyon was a local stained glass artist whose creative journey began in 1980 with a simple desire to infuse color into his home. Inspired by the beauty of colorful glass, Harvey embarked on his artistic path with his first project: a vibrant panel depicting a pair of parrots. This initial endeavor ignited a passion for stained glass that would flourish over the decades.
As word spread about his unique creations, Harvey found himself increasingly in demand, crafting custom pieces for friends, coworkers, and eventually a wider clientele. His meticulous craftsmanship and eye for design quickly established him as a notable figure in the local art scene. In 1998, after retiring from a successful career at Chrysler, Harvey dedicated himself fully to his passion for stained glass.
Throughout his illustrious career, Harvey has had the opportunity to create stunning pieces for several notable clients. One of his proudest moments came when he was commissioned to create a special piece for the former CEO of Chrysler, Lee Iacocca. Delivering this unique work in person to Detroit was an experience that solidified his reputation as a distinguished artist. Additionally, Harvey had the honor of crafting a beautiful jewelry box for American singer/songwriter Loretta Lynn, further showcasing his ability to create pieces that resonate with art lovers and collectors alike.
Today, a few of Harvey’s exquisite stained glass works are available for purchase at Kokomo Opalescent Glass, where his talent and artistry continue to inspire both novice and experienced collectors. With each unique piece, Harvey Kenyon brings a touch of elegance and color into the world, reminding us all of the beauty that light and glass can create together.
Due to the size of this piece, we will have to create a wooden crate for the panel to ship. Or this panel can be picked up by the customer.
