WHERE CAN I PURCHASE KOG GLASS?
You can purchase art glass on our online store or at the Op Shop.

DO YOU HAVE SAMPLES?
Yes! We offer individual samples of 2 x 3” pieces of art glass or sample boxes which include approximately 250 of our most popular colors and textures. Larger sample sizes of 4 x 4” or 6 x 6” are available for an extra cutting fee.
Samples and sample boxes of our assortment of Dalle de Verre are also available.

WHAT IF MY GLASS ARRIVES BROKEN?
We work very hard to pack your purchases so that they arrive in perfect condition. In the event your glass arrives broken, take a picture of the box and the broken glass and send picture to opshop@kog.com. Let us know how many of each color and texture are broken. We cover the cost of replacing the glass and new shipping. A refund or credit is available if you don’t wish to reorder. WHAT IF THERE ARE RUST MARKS ON MY GLASS?
Rust marks, often referred to as belt tracks, are an inherent part of the art glass manufacturing process. This results from hot sheet glass making contact with the rust on steel belt tracks. Although we inspect for these and clean what we can before shipment, sometimes rust marks can go unseen. It is most visible on clear and light colored glass.
While they cannot be removed with your typical glass cleaner, we have found a simple and easy way of removing them with the scouring powder cleaner Bar Keepers Friend, which contains oxalic acid, a natural ingredient that is widely used to remove rust. Follow the product’s cleaning instructions and it should easily come off without scratching or etching your glass!

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SPUN AND BLOWN RONDELS?
A spun rondel is shaped from a gather of glass then formed with a “footing” tool to the correct size. Spun rondels have a punty, are thicker than blown rondels, more economical, only available in sizes 2” – 4” and have a standard color pallet that you can find on our rondel page.
A blown rondel is gathered and blown into a bubble. That bubble is then pierced and opened into the flat shape, then broken off leaving a thicker portion at the center called a punty. Blown rondels can be a solid colors or in a variety of specialty styles including: Craquel, Feathered, Frit, Hot Wrap, Incalmo, Murrini, Optic, Organic, Pinwheel, Quilted, Rucked, Seedy, Swirl and Wacky Wrap. They are available in sizes 3” – 20”. They are more expensive than spun rondels because they take more time and expertise to make.
Both spun and blown rondels can be incorporated into stained glass projects with lead cane or copper foil.
