History Continued
THE OP SHOP
In 1973, KOG opened the Op Shop to provide customers with the opportunity to purchase hobby sheet glass and supplies as well as hand-made gifts. Today, the Op Shop operates public and private tours of the factory, offers a wide range of classes, provides custom glass design services, restoration and repair services, and sells a wide selection of our sheet glass, cast glass, rondels and blown glass items. All items sold in the Op Shop are produced from KOG glass by our skilled local artisans.

THE HOT GLASS STUDIO
The Hot Glass Studio was established in 1998 to produce quality hand-blown and hand-cast glass using our world famous Kokomo Opalescent Glass. Our glass blowers create one of a kind, limited edition functional and sculptural glass objects.

TODAY
We continue to be a major source for restoration glass and create custom mix batches for our commercial customers. We still manufacture many of the same recipes that solidified our reputation as a premier glass manufacturer and continue to add exciting new colors and textures to meet the demand of an ever growing consumer audience.
Our glass can be seen in architectural sites worldwide, including the Vatican, the Chicago Cultural Center, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Dana House, Disney World (Florida, California and Tokyo), The White House, Yellowstone National Park, Washington D.C. Metro, DreamWorks Studios and many more. It is estimated that 75% of the world’s churches contain KOG’s glass.

We are happy to provide customers outside of our locality with an opportunity to purchase Kokomo Opalescent Glass art pieces via our online store. We continue to change with the times but always remember our rich heritage in the glass industry. We are America’s oldest art glass company!
